@willhopkins
Of the list, I've read only two, but I really enjoyed Ancillary Mercy.
@willhopkins read Freedom! Even if I have to admit that the first one was better.
@uraimo it's definitely on the list! I have to decide whether to buy the dead tree copy or Kindle it...
@willhopkins
you should kindle it, it's not bad but not worth having a physical copy.
@willhopkins oooh! Suarez made a new book about CRISP genetic editing!
@uraimo that's exciting! I've added it to the list as well. it looks very tempting.
@willhopkins Though I would hope you have read the two earlier volumes of the series.
@Algot yep ;) fear not, I devoured them first.
Still not used to long form writing on Mastodon, I think this is a series which benefits from starting at the beginning.
@Algot indeed. I'm not generally a fan of jumping in in the middle, but especially with Leckie's work I think the context is best acquired from the beginning.
@willhopkins Ancillary Mercy, so you can finish the Imperial Radch serie?
@dClauzel it's probably going to be the paper book that makes it into my bag for my next travels. I already have the hard copy so it's a no-brainer. the Kindle will be along for backup.
to be honest, I really only want to finish the series so I can start it again!
Other candidates include:
* Like A Boss
* Stories of Your Life
* The Jennifer Morgue
