This is a great alternative to Facebook and something I hadn't considered before. You can now keep tabs on your family and close via their own social network

We need more #designers and #UX people involved in #FOSS projects

This was recognised at http://www.openusability.org/ where they propose some specfic guidelines for FOSS #developers.

Better UX design is one of the reasons why #Mastodon was more quickly adopted. If FOSS projects want broader user adoption, they have to seriously consider their user experience. Technical functionality and support is only one half of the project.

We'll never replace Adobe with FOSS unless UX is addressed

After a few weeks of #Mastodon, and being on my own #instance, I still feel like I could #reach more #people. But, #tech posts do get shared and traffic on my blog has increased. I like it a lot more on here compared to #birdsite or #facecrook too for that matter. So, I'll keep following more interesting people, try to toot like I tweeted (work interferes with my ability to go all in, which isn't all that bad 😂).
