“I know that I now belong to a small group of privileged people who get to tell stories for a living, stories that are heard and seen and digested by a world that for so long has tasted only one thing. I know how important that is. And I am not giving up.” https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/aug/21/kelly-marie-tran-the-last-jedi-instagram-online-bullying
A #NotAllMen mansplainer is found rolled up in a rug and then trampled by horses. Suspicion falls on Haddington’s circus troupe, angry that fake news might threaten a huge annual event in Midsomer that we’re nonetheless only hearing about for the first time.
Recently I've been thinking a lot about startup culture, and its values. I don't want to be associated with it at all any more — I want to be the founder of an indie software business, not a startup. I care more about users than million-dollar valuations. And I want more people to feel the same way, choosing small-scale, human values over investment and growth. Two new raven tracks on this new split cassette from Tandem Tapes! Dark and slow-moving: one tracked in Ableton based around a loping beat and meandering piano, the other freer, with processed buzzing amp noise slowly giving way to acoustic piano and cello.
Lovely drone piece from my friend Talbert Anthony on the flipside.
Posting my photo of Sydney from last week's flight to Hong Kong, which turned out to be a fairly decent #planepic

Recently, the handling of online defamation has become a hot topic on many mass media as well as social media channels. News Article for Reference: https://www.jiji.com/sp/article?k=2020052500387 In response to these reports, it is expected that lawsuits and disclosure requests will become more publicly known; and government agencies will order stricter enforcement in addition to tightening regulations. However, under the current state of Japan, we will not be able to handle the increase of such administrative burdens and will have trouble dealing with it appropriately. Thus, we have decided to stop providing our service on mstdn.jp and mastodon.cloud starting June 30, 2020. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding on the matter.
