@ino That makes sense. On day one of my account, I keep searching Federated timeline because was quiet. Now I have 500+ toots that say <one minute ago>

Congratulations to us all, Mastodon Fediverse. 200k users is kind of a big deal!

Federated timeline looks like a slot machine right now.

Has anyone created an or for yet? Not the graphics, but something one could use for a thumbnail?

Made a Github issue for autopausing gifs for accessibility reasons:

Click it, subscribe to it, +1/thumbs-up it, etc. :)

@Qantumentangled I think the second way listed is better: 1. Use to post a link to mastodon for now and 2. Put that link in bio.

The signed messaged is just an "if you care to verify that I am who I say I am, here is a message to verify".

Completely optional as a temporary solution. Really it was just something to do here while still familiarizing with a new network.

@Qantumentangled Not missing anything. Its really a terrible work-around, and probably shouldn't have received that traffic that it did (my post). Feels good to go through those and clean out the junk/grime.

tech bloggers: mastodon will never go anywhere, federation is confusing and i dont like toots

me: welcome to c y b r e s p a c e be sure to florp someone's ping,

♻The internet owns - it's where router manufacturers can say you're a liar via direct message

@tariqk Completely understand and respect that! No worries and all, and I look forward to reading it. Just need to get a bit of sleep first.

@tariqk It may not be a constructive remark, but I think its a fair one.

1. I didn't mean for it to be used by everyone. Only devs that verify themselves else on Keybase out of preference.

2. It is a makeshift solution.

3. The internet is a mean place. I'm more nervous when everyone is nice, because it feels like a trap.

I appreciate your honesty, and have bookmarked your post to read tomorrow. (I'm in UTC-5)

@kodo And you get a follow for having an amazing avatar! haha
