Not much happening at Baja and offroad racing them days. We do not participate in sportwashing the general conditions - Covid-19 pandemic - or support events run during a time both neighboring countries - USA and Mexico - have their borders closed as global hotspots and recommend to limit travel to only essential activities.
No Redbull Andy McMillin trophy-truck this year at the - against both governments restriction due to pandemic - run Baja 500. With Mexico familiar folks know Mexico has the best police money can buy, a state governor giving permission or arrange “special deals” despite raising infection numbers during a pandemic is just a little more expensive. Also missing was Red Bull athlete Bryce Menzies and several other drivers.
We need that at Baja! From the event announcement: “Red Bull Goni Pony (Pedal your Pony) is not just another bike race, it is a race in style. A style from 60’s, 70’s and 80’s when Rog Pony bikes were manufactured. So leave your smart phones and carbon bike parts at home, come party with us in vintage fashion.” After five consecutive record breaking years the stage is set for the biggest Pony bike hillclimb ever! No gears, no carbon fiber, no surrender!
Nobody takes Formula 1 cars to more places in the world than Red Bull. But alongside its show runs in major cities all over the planet, the team has carried out some spectacular stunts in a variety of famous locations. In this list we’ve picked out our 12 favorites, so get ready to see F1 machinery on snow, sand, inside strange buildings and blasting through tunnels
Not much happening at Baja in regards racing. But we do have redbull athletes otherwise in action. One lap with Ken Roczen. His GoPro footage from timed qualifying, where he was second in the premier division, can be viewed in the video.
