I'm the kind of nerd who reads up on JavaScript developments in one tab while lewdly RPing wildly in another.
Some things haven't changed in over a decade.

Taking the money I really want to spend on Mario Kart and putting it in my PS4 fund. Because financial responsibility means buying one video game thing instead of a different, less-expensive, video game thing.

@raddar4 Did you see the Federated TimeLine? It's ridiculously fast.
Is it just me or is @tokimeki2ch somewhat dominating the local timeline?
This is what the 1980s were really like. Platonic solids everywhere crushing humans under their perfect, glistening vertices. We don't talk about the invasion much but the PTSD is real.
We came that close. To going out forever. It was Benoit Mandelbrot and Julia Set who saved us all. https://mastodon.social/media/yQp-QC4UXJdxynvAv34

"The buzz around Mastodon’s federated social network has made me nostalgic about bulletin board systems in the early nineties..."
This stuff is so cool. I missed the BBS era, and though I've read lots about them before, the screenshots and explanation in this post gave me a much clearer sense for what using them would actually have been like. I'd like to have experienced it.
tomo's toot translator totally works! I can read Japanese toots, now.
You can get it at https://github.com/tomouchuu/mastodon-translate https://mastodon.al/media/Q5ZARNwvUtL3z40_GjU
Nice work, tomo.
Is it possible... could it be that... that I am the first one to use this hashtag? #42

The Tao of Linux:
You can have no issues from hardware that has no driver (@awilfox)
Games do not crash if you can not play them
If screen tearing occurs, delete xorg.conf and remove the xorg server packages, and then you will have no screen tearing.
The software that has no bugs is the software you cannot obtain for your platform
Bugs are only shallow if the puddle is widespread
If you have the source, but cannot comprehend it all, can you ever truly debug it?
