Wow, this is a nasty #Windows bug: bugs.chromium.org/p/project-ze

MsMpEng is the Malware Protection service that is enabled by default on Windows 8, 8.1, 10, Windows Server 2012, and so on. Additionally, Microsoft Security Essentials, System Centre Endpoint Protection and various other Microsoft security products share the same core engine. MsMpEng runs as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM without sandboxing, and is remotely accessible without authentication

#InfoSec

Listening to a Paraguay Python meetup talk about using machine learning to process tax receipts; it's in Spanish but I'm keeping up, partly by using ML live translation apps...

I am a bit disturbed Microsoft Translate keeps translating words as "Golem". Is it trying to say something itself?

If it really is a golem, my guess it was was written by @melizeche in Flask

I think this might be worth some sort of mini-celebration. I never thought I'd live to see the day.

"the MP3 technology became patent-free in the United States on 16 April 2017 when U.S. Patent 6,009,399, ...administered by Technicolor, expired"

"Mastodon will never kill twitter!"
I mean, all I ever wanted was a place to hang out with my friends and make joeks without harming or being harmed by others, so I can deal

Yay! Mastodon has just passed 200,000 users across 602 instances.

I think I've to post some description with hashtags about my interests or at least that seems to be the protocol here

Well, I'm a software from , I program in many languages but my weapon of choice usually is (, ), also I'm into as consultant and pentester.

TIL:
HP printer driver(s) spoof a HP MAC address (5c:b9:01:xx:xx:xx) and generate SNMP traffic to any added printer. The traffic does not show up in Wireshark (Win64), netstat, or SysInternals' TCPView. Additionally, the spoofed MAC does not show up in the CAM table(s) of the core switch.

One of the weirdest pieces of traffic I've ever had to pin down.

This is the kind of book programmers at witches.town read.

@polymerwitch I would read a guide to AWS services based on their relation to kitten pics.

S3: store your kittens

EC2: server to share the kittens

Route 53: help web browsers to find the kittens

BeanStalk: simplified herding of your kittens

For the new Mastodon users:

Let's root! 🍍

I was among those affected by the layoffs at Cylance, and so am now looking for work. I've been working on my OSCP, and am searching for either a junior penetration testing position, or a blue team position, in NYC or remote.

If I don't find work by the end of the month, I may be open to relocation, but for now, I'm trying to stay in the city. If you know of anyone hiring in my area that you'd recommend working for, please drop me a line here or on Twitter.

I don't even remember how I started on twitter so I'm a little lost here :joy:
