I have freelanced for years but every time I get to go see a movie at an empty theater on a work day afternoon I feel like I'm getting away with something.

I had not realized how much Twitter had trained my brain to skip longer blocks of text until I joined Mastodon and got a stream full of good thoughts in more than 140 characters.
That liminal state where your MS is with reader/agent and you have no idea what to do with yourself after months of working on the same project. Which you know needs more work but you can't touch until feedback comes in.
I could be a proper professional and work on a short story or the outline for book 2 but...
