I'm not going to lie, I'm not surprised by this at all: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/williams-lake-woman-shocked-no-one-stopped-to-help-man-having-heart-attack-1.4352808
So, after the #WomenBoycottTwitter thing, my feed on that site turned to shit, so time to use Mastodon. This will be interesting.
@KateLibC Mastodon web clients also work as Progressive Web Apps on Android, so you can just add it to your home screen.
@obra They're already rolling in. :(
@infil00p Seriously, they've been @'ing me all day, and I just want to go for a hike
maybe play some hackeysack
@bob Same in Canada. People have been fighting against the widespread use of IMSI catchers for years, even though the RCMP has never actually admitted to using them until now.
Of course, the CBC finding a bunch of IMSI catchers in Ottawa combined with new legislation making them legal retroactively may have something to do with it.
So, there's a lot of shit going down w.r.t. IMSI catchers today in Canada.
Did anyone expect Ralph Goodale to tell the truth about this? http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/politics/goodale-spying-investigation-phone-1.4055107
Seriously, it is plausible that the Minister doesn't know what an IMSI catcher is, and that he's instinctively saying that CSIS isn't doing it. I don't believe him.
So CSIS are investigating rogue IMSI catchers (Stingrays) spotted around Parliament Hill. Not worrying a bit. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/goodale-spying-investigation-phone-1.4055107
Work on this mobile framework thing, fly things that are small and fast, play with radios.
Generalistic and moderated instance.
