If you're seeing this post you are still following my old Mastodon account. Please follow me at @danie10 or mastodon.social/@danie10

I'm moving my posting to my original account at @danie10 or mastodon.social/@danie10 mainly because the Local Feed there is more relevant for my interests. Please feel free to follow me there and my apologies for this disruption (I don't want to post duplicates from both accounts). mastodon.cloud/media/RnpUN20Ql

Hilarious, I forgot I signed up 20 weeks back on Mastodon! Most likely because registrations were closed at mastodon.social (and LastPass would have popped up my login details.

So I am inactive right now at danie10@mastodon.social

I'm working on a blogpost to explain the federated timeline, user accounts and idea of multiple identities and I could use some quotes and examples from longtime Mastodon/GNUSocial users. When you have an account on multiple instances, why do you do that?
How do you manage these accounts and logins? Is Mastodon thé solution for your identities?

You don't have to name the accounts and you can always DM me if you want to stay anonymous.

Photos of our Table Mountain Hike 15 Apr 2017

We hiked up Skeleton Gorge from Kirstenbosch Gardens. We then hiked to the Upper Cable Car station, only to find on arrival a howling gale force wind and the cable car was closed. So we had to descend via Platteklip Gorge which was very slow going. The end point was only reached a good 30 minutes after it had got dark.
