Sweet craziness Apple is swinging for the fence with the new iPad Pro stats. Comparing it to PCs sold in the last 12 months and “graphics performance of an Xbox One S in 94% less space, and no AC cable required.”
I love that Apple is placing a big emphasis on its Today at Apple free educational sessions. I’ve attended a few, they are legit sessions about learning artistic and productivity skills. I highly recommend them.
Yes, of course, using Apple’s products. But they bring in actual, professional artists and speakers to run these. It’s good stuff, and all amazingly free.

[new post] Mastodon iOS apps are getting good
A city simulation game in which you are a silent hill-esque town and you must make visitors confront their past, punish the really bad ones and and release the ones who redeem themselves.
Unpopular opinion? I wish Nintendo Online was just required to play any games online.
AFAIK, that's how XBL and PSN work, and it takes all the guesswork out of which games you can play with who and how, etc.
Of course, I'm also eager for fixes to all of NO's other problems: an actual party system, voice chat (some games built it themselves, so it works), ACTUAL freaking gamertags, etc. I wouldn't even mind if the price needs to go up to support all that.

There are getting started guides, tools for finding friends from other services, and all sorts of nerdery.
If you know of links that would fit well here, please let me know! I’d love to make this as useful as possible.

“Google is adding a Discover feed of information cards to its search page on mobile. The page has historically been kept pretty clean aside from the search box at its core.”
Oh, and also ads for its own browser. Which always reappear. Even if you dismissed them 300 times already.
I cannot escape the feeling that I need to spend some real time outside of the US. This insanity is draining all the color and joy from my life. I want to travel and work. It should help that I already work remotely for all my clients.
At this point I’m not even sure where I would go, but I know a few people who might be willing to help or point me in the right directions.
Or, OR how about a Smash Bros 32-player battle royale mode. All of us running around on a big map getting into random fights. 😄
Anything with 32 players *at once* doesn’t seem plausible. But I wonder if it could be some sort of bracket mode for running your own tournaments.
A Japanese retailer pamphlet makes it sound like #SmashBros might have an as yet unannounced mode that supports up to 32 players. 😳
🚨 We just had to induce vomiting in our dog 🚨
Jess took him out, he ate something in the backyard, she didn’t catch what. He has a weak stomach, so in the past we’ve gone to the emergency vet. Even though we have pet insurance it’s always expensive.
This time I looked up how to induce on our own, and it was pretty easy. I held him, she administered some hydrogen peroxide, boom: a chicken wing from a delivery order.
Which is good because chicken bones can *shred* a dog’s GI.
Crisis averted. 🤮

Recently, the handling of online defamation has become a hot topic on many mass media as well as social media channels. News Article for Reference: https://www.jiji.com/sp/article?k=2020052500387 In response to these reports, it is expected that lawsuits and disclosure requests will become more publicly known; and government agencies will order stricter enforcement in addition to tightening regulations. However, under the current state of Japan, we will not be able to handle the increase of such administrative burdens and will have trouble dealing with it appropriately. Thus, we have decided to stop providing our service on mstdn.jp and mastodon.cloud starting June 30, 2020. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding on the matter.
