don't get me wrong, new dept is exactly the sort of thing i was teaching myself on the side. now i can learn on the job guilt-free bc... it's my job. but engineering just looked so cool and intriguing. i still want to know that world, too

honestly a little upset at the way i was given to this new dept so easily after they fought so hard to get me to engineering. i wasn't doing anything of import and it's his fault, tbqh, but i kinda hoped having a mentor would be the push i needed to be legit at this place. after being burned my pride is a lil bruised.
