Just found my old coinbase account from when I first tried bitcoin.
Back then in 2013 coinbase gifted me £0.03, I haven't touched it since, it has increased tenfold, now worth £0.36. :astonished:

Is anyone else using Firefox on Ubuntu experiencing crashes?

I have refreshed Firefox and reinstalling plugins but it is still bad.
Firefox has crashed 5 times today :angry:

My boss just said we have a budget for new headphones, so I am currently digging through headphone reviews to find the perfect pair.
Currently I have decided on open, over the ear headphones around £100 but there is still a lot to choose from.

Is anyone here an #audiophile with recommendations?

This quirk of emoji's is really interesting.
For example with SMS it defaults to a 7-bit character set allowing for up to 160 characters but the second you use an emoji it has to use a 16-bit character set halving the character limit.

If the emojis were stored as text everywhere we could use a smaller character set essentially halving disk usage.

Interesting mastodon #tip:
You can copy paste emoji's out of messages into your own. Doing this means it only counts as one character. This can really help in long messages.

I have done the maths:
😀 = 1 character.
: grinning : = 11 characters.

Yay my girlfriend gifted me Bayonetta on PC 😀
So excited I haven't played it before, currently at 6GB out of 10GB 😀

Server jumps from 1% disk space to 100% in 10 minutes.
The customer has switched on *very* verbose debugging options and only realized kilobytes before breaking the whole site.
To top it off, they had removed the log except Apache still had it open so the disk space was stuck at 100%.

Golly, what a busy morning! It didn't help that I woke up at 8:45 to get to work for 9:00 :dizzy_face:.
I hope this afternoon is quiet, I need to catch up with work before the long easter weekend.

Its hard to say if mastodon has intensified my insomnia, since I am writing this at 00:29 I am going to say it hasn't helped...

It is really cool to see mastodon taking off world wide but I need google translate on call, especially with the speed the federated timeline goes at.
