Any SMM professionals here? Suppose I want to earn a bit cash by spreading a promo code for a startup I like - will creating pages like this on Wordpress or Medium work to attract users from Google who search for this promo code? Any other advice? medium.com/@neat_hk_promo_code

Here's how I'm doing on setting up my own Mastodon instance:

- Deployed to Scalingo
- Set up SMTP server
- Set up SSL cert for HTTPS
- Works fine to create an account, post stuff etc.

But:
- FAILED to set up Amazon S3 storage, which sucks. Can't figure out the correct values for S3_REGION and S3_BUCKET, and there are no sample configs out there.

Damn it.

The reason why I like Russian music so much is that it's probably one of the few kinds of music out there that's still dark and brutal.

Member when in the 90s all music was about death, and in 00s all music was about suffering and self-harm?

Now everything is too happy-happy.

Meanwhile, Russia's new hit song tells you that you're nothing but a future fertilizer for crops, and the refrain consists entirely of words "behead, piss all over, and burn".

Hey @TheAdmin, I'm trying to figure out how to make myself an admin if I'm using scalingo.io for my deployment.

Where do I go to run the command rake mastodon:make_admin USERNAME=alice ? I couldn't find any console or something.

Why I am creating my own mastodon instance:

- I support free speech, something that very few people support today

- I think you should be able to say anything, even if I don't agree with you and think you're an idiot

- I have some money to burn, and why not try and learn new stuff

My brand new mastadon instance is running. Waiting for Amazon to approve my SMTP account before registration will open.

But hey @anton@mastodon.su! (at mastodon.su)

Trying to configure my own Mastodon instance at mastodon.su... so far failing

One thing that's good about Mastodon is that there are few people here, so you have to talk to strangers and meet new people.

Signed up for a second account here. My first one is on another instance: @ant

Let's see which one will be better!
