#NaNoWriMo2018 continues to be slow. I have at least one character named, resting in the house of [HEALING GOD NAME], having theological discussions with my main character, who is not yet so lucky to have a name.
I'm scrolling through Gizmodo's 100 Web Sites that Shaped the Internet and it noted that Pinterest is one of the few social media platforms without a Nazi problem. Not having comments must help a lot.

Finally getting caught up on the Netflix Marvel series. Jessica Jones can't have nice things, can she? Neither can Matt Murdock, apparently. I don't know why we have to do the Fisk ghost thing like we did with Kilgrave, though.

One thing that I am finding irritating is this incarnation dropping hints they they've been female before. This only complicates the history and timeline.

The creepiness of giant spiders has me a little afraid to go to bed, but having an obvious Trump to laugh at and blame for all the trouble helped.

I really appreciated the Doctor asking the companions if they were sure they wanted to go along. All the other companions seemed to jump in on a whim: Rose, Martha, Donna. Amy probably wasn't so spontaneous, but Clara and Bill were. This time the Doctor seems to have figured it out that being a companion is not something to jump into lightly.
New Blog Post on the Challenge of Gifts, copied from a scrap of paper I was able to read despite having written it in my own hand ?-years ago. https://joshuarenglish.com/blog/2018/10/28/uncle-josh-on-the-challenges-of-gifts/
Yesterday I offered to let a co-worker leave some sweet treats for her team near my desk because one of her teammates had drama over being too close to sugar. I was #fasting for the day and I've lost the uncontrollable urge for sugar since doing a #Whole30, so I said leave it thee because it wouldn't bother me.
Today, however, I am not fasting and there's leftover pizza.
Open call for #NaNoWriMo. I'm working on a fantasy this year.
Two episodes in with the latest #DoctorWho. There are parts that make me squeal with joy at the fun of it all, and parts that make me think the writers are addressing the audience directly.
You've got two people in love who don't act on it and the reason why isn't explained until Act 2. You've a character who is basically the poster boy for Jordan Peterson's incel movement and the first significant action with him is "if you kill yourself maybe we'll say nice things about you." This is from the "hero" of the musical.
A week after seeing #Oklahomah! I'm still pretty sure it's just a bad story with bad characters and rotten information flow.
