Okay, I'm giving Trump a pass on the "abolition of civil rights" faux pas. It was clearly the wrong word, either ad-libbed by Trump or someone wrote it down and nobody thought to look it up. In context, the whole complete thought is inoffensive and there's no way we can interpret this literally and have the whole thing make sense. But if we accept "abolition" was the wrong word, the whole thing is fine.
It is possible that he really does think abolishing civil rights will make things better, and abolishing women's right to vote will make things better, and those are definitely autocratic thoughts so Trump would subscribe to them readily. I just don't see them in that part of the speech.
Of course, he also said bigotry in adoption was okay. I'm not giving him a pass on that.
Generalistic and moderated instance.
