PSA: We will be deferring our regular Friday sync to the stable repository to next Friday (Feb 14th) as we perform additional testing against some massive updates, such as to Python 3. Read more at https://discuss.getsol.us/d/3706-feb-7th-sync-deferred-to-next-week-feb-14th and expect a blog post early next week for more details!
Building on this, we are also looking into alternatives to systemd's default DNS server: Google, such as Cloudflare DNS (which is, by default in systemd, the fallback). Should we find a privacy-oriented alternative that can operate on our scale, we'll look into switching over.
Happy to say Solus now has its own vendor pool zones for NTP graciously provided by the NTP Pool Project, allowing us to move away from Google for NTP / time server usage.🎉
Our systemd has been updated, stable repo users can expect the update next Friday🙂 - Joshua

Current job count (delta generation): 1836 tracked
Yep, this is gonna take a fair bit. Index should be updated but if you hit it at a time it's landing a delta into the index, just try again. I recommend reading our latest blog post before updating! - Joshua
All of our desktop offerings are getting updates this week, whether it's our newest #Budgie 10.5.1 release, #GNOME, #MATE, or #KDE! Read all about the latest happenings at https://getsol.us/2019/10/03/budgie-and-its-army-of-gnomes

With the latest goodies from the GNOME 3.34 stack in the unstable repo, we're going to be deferring sync until next Friday to ensure the updates you're provided are delivered in a manner which reflects our expectations for testing and polish. This will also provide us an opportunity to work out any issues related to Linux 5.3.1!
The #GNOME Stack 3.34 stack upgrade push to unstable begins!
I still have some tweaks I want to do, but here's both Budgie and GNOME Shell 3.34 under #Solus 🎉
Budgie: Works ✅
GNOME Shell: No regressions in extensions - Dash to Dock, Impatience, and TopIcons Plus all functional ✅
I'd also like to mention that this will NOT delay our GNOME Stack upgrade. I'll be finishing that up this weekend and maybe small bits (branding updates) on Monday. I'll instead be working on Help Center next Saturday!
Happy to announce our upcoming hackfest: ferryd, Reporting for Query Duty, for Saturday Sept. 21st at 10am Eastern, 2pm UTC! In this hackfest, Bryan will be working on report generation in #ferryd and Josh will be finalizing work on the #GNOME 3.34 stack upgrade! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TUmsbvnKlc
