So far Mastodon is friendlier/cosier than Twitter, I have to move from Livejournal to Dreamwidth. It seems the season to migrate social/blogging platforms.
Are others finding the same thing - that suddenly an itch they didn't realise they had was being scratched?

One of the thing on new social platforms is it makes it easier to have conversations with complete strangers.
Cause a stranger is just a friend you haven't DM'd yet.
The user guide recommends #introductions as a way of sidling into people's streams.
I'm hoping this is a sustainable social platform that won't deteriorate into a marketing vacuum.
@alanbaxter So you need the instance as well as the user name - which raises the possibility that someone else could use the same user name on a separate instance.
