Mi estas leganto la Danĝera Lingvo, de Lins. Tiu libro estas interesega. Plie, li montras min, ke lernado de apenaŭ du monatoj permesas facile legi kompleksajn tekstojn en esperanto... ankaŭ por stultulo kiel mi! Kuraĝiga, ĉu ne?

Je lis la Danĝera Lingvo de Lins. C'est un livre très intéressant, et qui me montre qu'on peut facilement lire des textes complexes après à peine deux mois d'apprentissage... même pour une andouille comme moi ! Encourageant, non ?

Looking over European names for this holiday, there are three trends.

Germanic and Anglo names, like Easter and Ostern, after the goddess Eostre (goddess of the dawn, hence the "east"!)

Names referencing the Passover, like the Italian Pasqua , French Paques, or Danish Paske .

Slavic countries usually call the holiday some version of "The Big Night/Day", or literally "Resurrection of Christ".

And then there's Hungary, who call it "húsvét". Which literally means "meat-taker". Right.
