In front of a packed house at Silverstone for one of MotoGP’s premier events, Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) struck a crucial blow in the 2021 MotoGP World Championship race with a classy 2.6-second victory over Suzuki’s Alex Rins and Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro, who took Aprilia’s maiden MotoGP podium in the four-stroke era.
Lewis Hamilton will start Formula One's first ever sprint race from the front of the grid after beating Max Verstappen in Friday's qualifying session ahead of the British Grand Prix.
Sunday's British Grand Prix is the first of three races this year to feature a revamped format.
To accommodate that change, the normal qualifying format has shifted from Saturday to Friday.

The F1 sprint race explained
F1 Sprint will be a race run over 100km (in Silverstone's case, 17 laps) and lasting around 25-30 minutes. It is designed to provide a short and fast-paced racing spectacle with drivers racing flat-out from start to finish without the need to pit.

Leclerc set his fastest time with the help of a slipstream from Hamilton, and a red flag on the final runs secured his second successive pole.

When is the Rome E-Prix?
Like in Diriyah, Rome will host two races on April 10 and April 11.
The race is held at the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR in Rome.
The circuit is 2.860 km long, making it the second longest circuit on the Formula E calendar.
A clever Quartararo wins the Doha MotoGP in Qatar from the Pramac Ducatis of Zarco and rookie Martin, who led most of the race from pole position and claimed a debut rostrum.
Mir and Miller clashed twice in the race, the Suzuki rider bumping the Ducati wide then Miller looking over out of the final corner and shoulder barging the reigning world champion.

Formula 1 has revealed a revised calendar for the 2021 season. The F1 schedule retains a record 23 races, but the 2021 season will now start a week later with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 28, with the Australian Grand Prix moving later in the year.
