Shouldn't there have been at least one scene in The Karate Kid where Daniel's mom was like "Why are you constantly in that old man's shed?"

@Meshelly your right, for sure. My experience in the 80s was good, I guess I attach those memories with good times, and in some cases they could have been bad times for other folks.
@Meshelly the 80's were a simpler time. The only thing one had to worry about was richie rich taking over the rec center.

@Meshelly well ya there was the whole D&D scare while child molesters put razorblades in holloween candy. that and the movies referenced were just about as real.
As a child who was actually molested by someone in the 80's I'll be sure to go back and time, and kindly tell my childhood self that there's nothing to worry about, because it doesn't actually happen. @Thehatter

@Meshelly no because it was the eighties and things we totally different then. Growing up then I can tell you I rode my boke at will my Mom never questioned it, and I ate dirt and played with GI Joes, got into some scuffles, played in storm drains etc...
