Trying out the Duck Duck Go browser on my phone as an alternative to Chrome.

Totally just made my own day by using the expression "John Hancock" when talking to one of my bosses.

During the staff meeting, I complained that our benefit package was biased against Americans because injuries from "war, riots, and insurrection" aren't covered.

"There go my weekends."

[now that I've actually finished it] Also, it has me thinking about issues of consumption of the past and appropriation.

I'll be honest. I started reading Ametora because I like the Japanese take on American menswear. Near the end, I'm primarily thinking about markets, brands, and influence. In a way, that makes it a better book about business history than the actual business history book that I'm reading.

Or for curation, which is more my scene. We need better integration. Are there share extensions for Firefox or Chrome? How are you linking accounts?

Back to content: It strikes me that there's an opportunity for new content creators to make a name. Mastodon is a small pond, may be friendlier towards smaller fish. Let them grow.

So, for those of you who have migrated instances, did you have to rebuild your account from scratch or did all of your follows/settings travel with you?

Mastodon needs more content. Are there any media orgs on it? More pointedly, does Teen Vogue have an account?

Ruckus didn't wake me up this morning, so I'm all discombobulated.

"A diamond of storytelling in the scrap pile... A disturbing yet strangely familiar dystopian society in which social inequality is systemic, the top one percent have their own one percent, and the birth of A.I has resulted in a massive population of unemployed sentient robots." spritesanddice.com/2017/09/rev

It's 0° out, but no one is acclimated to it, so everyone is complaining.

@Electricarchaeo I've heard that you were taking a vacation from Twitter.

Look at that. 15 followers, most of whom probably aren't even here anymore.

I've swapped the Twitter link on my phone with Mastodon. Figure I need a break from Twitter's half-assed policies.

Instagram should get with the program and let me link to this account.

More friends joining, so I'm wiping the dust off of Tusky.
