@benhamill This might be a real problem with migration. Assuming people will refollow you is a big, obvious mistake.
@JoshuaACNewman Yeeeeaaaaaaaah. I dunno if I really care? Or, anyway, how ✨much✨ I really care. I have 155 followers here and 59 over there. I think the 59 are almost entirely a subset.
But, like, focusing on follower count and worrying about losing followers seems like a very birdsite thing to do. I haven't been on Mastodon that long... More people will find me if they want to.
I'm not worried about, like, "maximizing my reach" or whatever.
@JoshuaACNewman There ✨has✨ been some talk of writing a migration tool, though, that would somehow link your two accounts and notify your followers' servers to switch the follow reference over or however that would work. But I don't care enough to wait, for sure.
