Dunno how that could be true! The only thing that prevents art is a lack of art. I appreciate the respect, but it's really decades of perseverance in the face of contempt.
Plus, I suppose, a lot of poverty.
But: do it! Make a thing, complete it, make another! It's hard, but it's the most satisfying thing.
