Did you know that we don't track our users on #Mastodon? We do not have one clue where people are from, how they get to us or anything else for that matter.

That's called privacy. Something Twitter doesn't know anything about.

@stux
The fact that there is any drop in the infection rate is proof that stay-at-home measures are working. Releasing them without a plan for testing and contact tracing would be a mistake.

And herd immunity isn't a solution just yet.

It sucks, but the more people who stick to social distancing and staying in, the faster it's over for everyone.

I think it's madness that in some countries things are going to start up again..

Just because there's a little flattening doesnt mean you can drop stuff.

People be clever about this and don't rush it.

@IronMan He's really enjoying the chance to seize as much power as possible. I don't believe for a nanosecond that he gives a shit about how many cases of #covid19 there are in this or any other country. What he does care about, as you say, is stirring up xenophobia. The people who disapprove of him have ALL got to #VoteForDemocrats.

Georgians can get a haircut so they'll look nice in their caskets.

Great plan, Governor Kemp.

I'll be on Mastodon more, now that I've distanced myself from the Blue Bird of Bile. April 22nd, Earth Day, is the break. I left Wil Wheaton's final post as my farewell message. We don't need to feed @ jack or his favorite Troll King.

We must keep the state houses we have this year and win new ones, and retain and win new governors' mansions when they are next up. (Typically not in presidential election years though there are exceptions like Vermont.) Losing state governments in 2010 allowed Republicans to gerrymander, which is what gave them the House until 2018.

For the Senate, we're going to need everyone who lost their job and health care to realize there's a better way and #VoteBlue.

There no end to the depravity of the current administration.

The only way it ends is if we end it with our votes.

If anyone is protesting anything, they should be protesting the incompetent, corrupt Trump administration that got us into this mess.

No, they are not responsible for COVID-19, but they are responsible for their disorganized, deadly lack of coordinated response. #HeroesResist #VoteBlue

Burger chain Shake Shack to return $10 million government loan:

Shake Shack Inc will return the small business loan it received from the U.S. government, the burger chain's chief executive said on Monday, making it the first major firm to hand back money aimed at helping small businesses ride out the coronavirus impact.

@Captain_America @GlennGriffin8 This is a good reason to visit the Shake Shack that opened a couple of years ago in my city. I didn’t see what all the fuss was about at the time, because we’ve got tons of places for good shakes, burgers, fries, etc. I want to reward companies for doing the right thing.

That’s why oversight and inspector generals are necessary...Republicans can’t be trusted with money - or power or running a country or anything else.

But they can be trusted to run this country into the ground. Vote November 3rd. #ElectDemocrats #VoteBiden
